Sensor nodes perform sensing, processing and communication tasks. In recent years, wireless sensor networks have been widely applied in various fields and deployed for many kinds of applications. Since WSNs can be quickly distributed in some geographical areas where humans fail to arrive, they play an important role in many fields, such as habitat monitoring, health care, military surveillance, target tracking, disaster relief and so on. Since sensor nodes are powered by batteries which reserve limited energy and can not be recharged, every node only communicates with nodes within its transmission range.

When transforms another network model into a general undirected graph G, the factor of the algorithm performance usually relates with Δ. Here Δ is the maximum cardinality of G. At the same time, the factor of the algorithm performance is a constant for the special geometry structure of the unit disk graph when modeled as a unit disk graph. Recently, many schemes have been proposed to solve the connected dominating set problem in undirected graph. Wu and Li developed a simple and efficient localized algorithm to form a connected dominating set rapidly, which is called 44 S.

If the best candidate is an empty node, but its best candidate is not the source node, then it replies with a Reject M sg. Case 3. If the candidate of the source node is already a dominator or a dominatee, the it replies with a Reject M sg. Therefore, the lemma gets proved. Lemma 2. In MBIDSC, if a node sends a Dominator M sg to its candidate, then it receives a Reject M sg or Dominator Ack M sg from the candidate. Proof. The proof is the same as Lemma1. After the destination node receives a Dominator M sg, there are three cases as follows.
